Below is our Inquiry Overview for the current topic.

The outdoor environment will be used to develop physical health, well being and connection and curiosity to our natural world. We will take part in 'Forest Friday' every Friday. Children are to wear black joggers / leggings, white polo t-shirt, school jumper / cardigan to school on these days. 

 

 

HOMEWORK

 

Homework activities will be set occasionally throughout the term. These will be set on Google Classroom on Wednesday's to be returned the following Monday.

 

READING

 

Reading books are sent home every Wednesday to be returned on Monday. Please read these together regularly to establish good reading habits with your child. Whilst reading, ask questions about the story / characters to develop comprehension skills.

Oxford Reading Buddy can be used as additional practise and access to a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books. Sign-in cards have been sent home and the site can be accessed on most devices. 

 

P.E.

These sessions will take place on Tuesdays. Pupils will be required to wear PE kit to school for this day, in addition to their kit for Forest Fridays. 

 

PE kit consists of black tracksuit bottoms / leggings, white t-shirt, school jumper / cardigan and appropriate trainers, ideally Velcro trainers (converse trainers are not permitted). 

 

Earrings are not to be worn for PE sessions and must be removed by the pupil or before coming to school. 

Long hair should be tied back and all hair accessories removed.
