Eco Committee

What do we do?
Our Eco Committee aims to:
  • Promote an environmentally friendly ethos across our school
  • Encourage pupils, staff and visitors to care for the environment
  • Reduce waste, save energy and protect nature
  • Work towards maintaining the Eco-Schools Platinum Award
  • Meet regularly to plan and lead eco-friendly actions

Eco focus this term:
  • 🐦 Take part in the Big Garden Birdwatch
We will observe and record the birds we see in our school grounds, helping to support national wildlife research and learn more about local biodiversity.
  • 🚶‍♀️ Join the Big Walk and Wheel
We will encourage pupils and staff to travel to school in an active and environmentally friendly way, such as walking, cycling, or scooting.
  • 🌱 Prepare the BBB Community Garden for planting
We will work together to get our garden ready by clearing, digging, and planning what to grow, helping to create a space that supports wildlife and wellbeing.
  • 📵 Take part in Screen-Free Night
We will encourage pupils and families to switch off devices for an evening to save energy, spend time together, and enjoy activities without screens.
