Head Team

What is the Head Team?

At Cwmfelin Primary School, our Head Team is made up of pupils who have applied for the position in order to represent the views, ideas and opinions of the pupils. This ensures that every class has a voice and that children play an active role in shaping their school experience. The Head Team provides an important opportunity for pupils to develop confidence, leadership skills and a sense of responsibility within the school community.

As members of the Head Team, pupils act as a vital link between their class, their teachers and the Senior Leadership Team. They listen carefully to the thoughts and suggestions of their peers and communicate these effectively, ensuring that pupil voice is heard and valued. In doing so, they contribute to decision-making and help influence future developments and events within the school.

The Head Team meets regularly to discuss ideas, share feedback from their classes and explore ways to make Cwmfelin Primary an even better place to learn. Through these meetings, pupils work collaboratively to suggest improvements, plan initiatives and celebrate what is already working well. This empowers children to take pride in their school and understand the importance of teamwork, communication and positive change.
